Students of 60 public schools all over the Philippines will be getting access to digital learning, as the Department of Education and Smart Communications recently signed a memorandum of agreement for the deployment of 40 TechnoCart and 20 School-in-Bag units over the next two years.
Created by Smart, these educational bundles – which include a laptop, tablets with educational apps, LED TV, a pocket Wi-Fi with starter load, a solar panel for schools without electricity, and teacher training – will be turned over to the school-beneficiaries under DepEd’s “Adopt-a-School” program.
Smart is donating several units and is encouraging organizations and individuals to sponsor more TechnoCarts and School-in-a-Bag units, as these improve the academic performance of public school students.
Those interested to donate may email TechnoCart@smart.com.ph
