According to PAGASA Mindanao Head Dir. Anthony Lucero, worst case scenario for TS Vinta will have heavy rains in Northern Mindanao tonight. Vinta will be at the vicinity of Claveria, Misamis Oriental by 2pm tomorrow. Expect widespread flooding tomorrow morning especially in Cagayan de Oro. Landslides are also expected. Preemptive evacuation along harm's way is encouraged.
Everyone in the flood-prone and low-lying coastal areas are encouraged to have preemptive evacuation to the safe place. Later the city government will give some advices on some locations for evacuation.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office prepared 400 sacks of rice and 500 hygiene kits in case force evacuation will take effect as #TSVINTA intensifies... at 9:00am today, personnel of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department are placed under Code Blue and continuously monitoring and coordinating with BDRRMCs 8 teams of Emergency Medical Specialists and 2 teams of Urban Search and Rescue personnel are now on stand-by.
