“Independence must be enjoyed and felt by everyone in spite of the daunting challenges and pressing issues that we are facing in our society”.
This, in a nutshell, is the message of unity and solidarity of Mayor Oscar Moreno as he led the 120th Philippine Independence Day celebration at Kiosko Kagawasan in Plaza Divisoria on June 12, 2018.
Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy and members of the City Council, PNP 10 regional director Temoteo G. Pacleb and Brig. Gen. Eric C. Benoya, commander of the 403rd Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division joined the mayor in the raising of the Philippine flag with full military honors.
Regional directors from the different national line government agencies, men and women from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, officials and employees from the academe, barangays, socio-civic groups, non-government organizations, youth, women, peoples organizations, private sector and others witnessed the celebration.
