COHARA proudly presents its major contribution to Philippine culinary – KUMBIRA. The nation’s longest-running annual culinary show now on its 22nd year, KUMBIRA will be held on August 15-17, 2018 at the Atrium of Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City. This year’s KUMBIRA would want to highlight and focus on Mindanao cuisine with the theme: “The Kitchens of Mindanao”.
Strongly supported by the hotel and food industry, this has been a venue showcasing talent and skills in culinary and related fields in the hospitality industry. With the presence of notable chefs and culinary experts, the event really promotes learning experience through culinary and hotel industry competitions, seminars and demonstrations. A highlight of the 3-day event include trade exhibits and food tasting.
The competitions of the 22nd KUMBIRA are in partnership with the 2018 National Food Showdown, a production of Alimentaria Inc. The winning team of Chef Wars-Mindanao will compete in the finals during the 2018 National Food Showdown on October 26-27, 2018 to be held at Elements at Centris, Eton Centris, EDSA cor. Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.
Competitions marked NFS are part of the line up of competitions to be staged during the 2018 National Food Showdown. To further experience and challenge, participating teams to NFS indicated events are encouraged to join the 2018 National Food Showdown and may contact the 22nd KUMBIRA Organizing Committee for more details.
