Candy A. Unabia, Chief Operating Officer of Amaya View, posted on her Social Media account a statement regarding the crocodile incident happened at Amaya View few weeks ago, she remained kindhearted and calls on everyone to extend compassion towards Tatay Nehemias.
This is her statement:
On behalf of the management of Amaya View, I would like to thank all of the people who stood by our side as we resolve the recent incident at Noah’s Ark. Your warm support has inspired us in the management to do the right thing in responding to the incident and its aftermath, as well as addressing the concerns of the patient, his family, and the general public.
In particular, we would like to extend our gratitude to our company nurse and zoo staff members for responding immediately to the incident. We thank the medical professionals and staff of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) for providing the appropriate medical care to the patient. Thank you also to all the national and local media organizations for giving Amaya View the fair opportunity to air our side and clarify the events that transpired.
We have learned a lot from this incident and we are committed to improving our operations at Amaya View and ensuring our guests' safety. We sincerely hope and pray for the fast and complete recovery of the patient. May all of us heal and move forward from this experience.
