LGU-CDO led by Mayor Oscar S. Moreno commemorates the 158th Birth Anniversary of Gat Andres Bonifacio

A simple wreath-laying ceremony was held by the local government of Cagayan de Oro on the 158th birthday of Andres Bonifacio, the well-known father of the Philippine revolution.

Today, the local government led by Mayor Oscar Moreno laid flowers at the Bonifacio monument.


The city council and the office of Vice Mayor Kikang Uy also offered flowers.


In Mayor Oscar Moreno's message, he emphasized that during Bonifacio's time the importance of the revolution was the empowerment of the people, but in every generation, there are challenges to be faced.


According to the mayor, the test facing the people today is the virus that has not been known for how long, has not been seen and there is no cure until now.


He said it is time for the people to participate to escape the fear brought by COVID-19, by participating in the National Vaccination Day.
