BBM-Sara Uniteam Continues to Rule Surveys!

Just two months before the May elections, the Federal Party of the Philippines presidential candidate Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. retained his lead among the competitors after recording a 53 percent preference rating in the latest Pulso ng Pilipino survey conducted by the Issues and Advocacy Center (The Center) last Feb. 9-15.

The survey conducted on 2,400 respondents at the beginning of the campaign period for national positions had a margin of error of 3.0% + - and a "confidence level in excess of 98%."

Robredo is far from second with 16.75%. Third was Isko Domagoso with 11.25%, while Ping Lacson was fourth with 8.75 % and Manny Pacquiao in fifth with 6 %.

Marcos is also leading in all regions in the country with the highest number in Mindanao with 56 percent compared to Robredo's 11 percent.

Marcos' 53 percent figure is two percent higher in the last Pulso ng Pilipino survey conducted by The Center on January 10-16.

In the latest survey, Marcos also led NCR with 51 percent, Luzon, 53 percent and Visayas, 52 percent. Robredo was also second in NCR, 20 percent, Luzon, 19 percent and Visayas, 17 percent.

Marcos also topped all levels of social class, he got 43 percent in the ABC class, 45 percent in class D and 40 percent in Class E.

According to The Center Director Ed Malay, Marcos' continued popularity in the survey shows that he is likely to win the upcoming election.

“With all the mudslinging and disparagement thrown at former Sen. Bongbong Marcos, any ordinary mortal would have either wilted or ran away from the battlefield, ”said Malaya.

"But BBM as he is called by associates chose to ignore the vitriol and the verbal abuse and for some inexplicable reason he remains on top of the presidential race with a pre-poll survey rating that has been described as phenomenal," he added.

“Never in the history of Philippine politics had there been a presidential aspirant who is credited with a +50% rating in the pre-poll survey. In fact, Laylo Research Strategies in their January 2022 survey even showed BBM on top with 64%, ”he stressed.

In the vice presidential race, Marcos' partner in Uniteam BBM-Sara, Mayor Inday Sara Duterte, still leads with 54 percent, while Vicente Sotto III has 25 percent.

Third was Willie Ong, 11%, Francisco “Kiko” Pangilinan fourth, 4%, Joselito Atienza fifth, 2% and Walden Bello was at the end with .5% while 3.5% remained undecided.

Malay explained that their survey used a combination of traditional "face-to-face multistage probability sampling" and digital tools in compliance with health protocols.

Respondents were taken from registered voters in various parts of the country.

"The Center employed the commonly used MSAP method or the multi-stage area sampling with the skip interval of at least five houses to obviate any bias in the data extraction," said Malay.
