MagsPeak Mountain Resort & Villas by CLI Unveils Spiritual Oasis: A New Chapel, Way of the Cross, and Rosary Walk for Holy Week Reflection

MagsPeak Mountain Resort & Villas by CLI has recently unveiled its latest addition, a new chapel, Way of the Cross, and Rosary Walk, all ideal for Holy Week devotions. This joint venture between MagsPeak Nature Park Inc. and Vismin's leading developer, Cebu Landmasters, offers the perfect retreat for religious devotees who seek spiritual solace amidst the picturesque highlands of western Cebu.

Starting April 5, 2023, pilgrims can visit MagsPeak to fulfill their religious observances, especially during Holy Week. Among the spiritual activities that they can engage in is the Way of the Cross, a 600-meter walk with 14 stations that extend from the entrance of the estate up to the peak of MagsPeak. They can also take part in a spiritual retreat inside the Our Lady of the Pillar Chapel, a quiet meditation in the Meditation Garden by the Pieta, or the 800-meter-long Rosary Walk that delves into the 20 mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

CLI's CEO, Jose Soberano III, emphasizes that MagsPeak offers a place of retreat and reflection, and a nurturing ground for faith. He notes that this is the company's response to Cebuanos' need for a tranquil place to engage in spiritual devotion, without having to go too far from home.

MagsPeak Mountain Resort and Villas spans 21 hectares of the Magsaysay Peak, Brgy Sunog, Balamban, Cebu, at an elevation of 800 meters. It is a mountain estate that seeks to provide Cebu with a comprehensive mountain experience through an outdoor, religious, and hospitality component, built sustainably at its core.

Furthermore, MagsPeak will serve as one of the starting points of the Camino de Cebu trail. It is a 42-kilometer route traversing the mountainside of Manunggal, Balamban, and culminating in the Municipality of Compostela, Cebu. The Camino de Cebu is based on the traditional Camino of Spain, which consists of several trails from Spain, Portugal, and France that merge in the City of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain.

By 2025, MagsPeak will open 12 exclusive mountain villas, 20 hotel rooms, a clubhouse, heated infinity pools, and a farm-to-table restaurant. This will make it an ideal destination for those seeking an exclusive getaway with their families. CLI Hotels & Resorts will manage this project, along with the hospitality portfolio of 10 hotels, resorts, and co-living spaces that Cebu Landmasters currently operates in key VisMin cities.
