Liceo U High School Glee Club Shines at the 2025 Himig Handog International Choir Competition


Tagum City, Philippines – The Liceo U High School Glee Club proudly represented Cagayan de Oro City at the prestigious 2025 Himig Handog International Choir Competition, held from February 19-22 at the Herminiguildo C. Baloyo, MD Hall (Tagum City Theater). Competing against some of the finest choral groups from across the globe, the talented ensemble brought home multiple accolades, showcasing their musical prowess and artistry on the international stage.

The Liceo U High School Glee Club delivered stunning performances across different categories, earning the following awards:

  • Category Champion – Pop Category
  • 2nd Place – Youth Choir Category
  • Best Interpretation of the Contest Piece “Triumph” (Arranged by Mr. Earl James Conde)
  • Grand Prix Finalist
