DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade, Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark de Leon, LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III, and local officials lead the launching of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) in Region 10 today, 15 July 2019.
The event marked the maiden launch of modern PUVs in Northern Mindanao, specifically, 73 Omnibus Franchising Guidelines (OFG)-compliant units that will ply nine (9) new, rationalized routes in the region.
Among those featured in today’s launch was the first double-decker tri-axle bus, which is Euro-4 compliant, that will ply the Cagayan De Oro-Bukidnon route.
Officials also present in the event were Misamis Oriental Gov. Bambi Emano, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno, Office of Transportation Cooperatives OIC Chairman Medel Afalla, LTFRB Region 10 Director Aminoden “Allan” Guro, heads of national government agencies in Region 10, officials from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the local government unit (LGU).
