But Mayor Moreno answered them during the Daily Press Briefing of City Hall for COVID-19 Update.

Mayor Moreno said:
I'm not a bit bothered by that... unsa ba'y ilang gusto? Gusto hinoon nila nga mu atras ang syudad from where we are now... NMMC, DOH, City Health in the hope nga we can still come up with the proper, appropriate and neccessary responses batok sa virus...

The Proposed Rehabilitation of the Amphitheater in Divisoria.

We have posted about what happened to CDO Amphitheater last year HERE, we discussed about how it vanished because of the unfinished project of our previous mayor in the City in 2010. The previous CDO City Mayor decided to demolished the historic old Amphitheater to redesign the stage, but left it unfinished until today. It is already 2019 and the said proposed redevelopment of the Amphitheater has been left unfinished, pretty much like the status of our Convention Center which was constructed back in 2003 and until now, the building has not yet finished.

Here's the photo of the new proposed design of the Amphitheater.

Now, the current administration of the city has proposed the rehabilitation of the Amphitheater in Divisoria through DPWH as implementing agency.

With initial funding of 80 Million pesos, DPWH released the proposed new design of the Amphitheater project which is almost the same design with the original Amphitheater. Not only that because they will also add another open theater at the back fronting the river in connection with the PROJECT LUNHAW, which will develop the river side as part of the Project Lunhaw: A Climate Resiliency Urban Design Initiative.

Check out the video below for the perspective of the new design of the Amphitheater. The video was taken from Ang CDO Karon TV Show hosted by Maricel Casino-Rivera.

Cherry Blossom Blooms in Cagayan de Oro City!

Did you know that there's a bit of Japan happening here in CDO as the summer starts?

Yes! because few years ago, the city government of Cagayan de Oro planted few Cherry Blossom trees along Kauswagan highway, in a hope that someday when those trees starts to blossom in season, the national highway from Kauswagan going to Bulua will be as colorful as pink!

Right now, those Cherry Blossom trees are adding colors along the highway, you can see on the video posted by Mr. Kristoffer Longasa embedded below that the center island of the Kauswagan and Bulua Highway are blooming with pink cherry blossoms.

See it for yourself when you pass by the Kauswagan and Bulua Highway. As what we have heard few years ago, the project of planting Cherry Blossoms along the highway was all the way to some western municipalities of Misamis Oriental (Opol to Initao). We still have to gather some information about that, if those trees survived in the area, since recently there are road widening happened on those areas and some of the cherry blossom trees where being cut down as the result of the road widening project.

The Philippines is home to a strong 4-million motorcycle community that still continues to grow everyday. The recent rise in number of motorcycle riders for the past couple of years has cemented the popularity of the two-wheeled vehicle, making it an indispensable mode of transportation for Filipinos all over the country.

Shell Representatives [L-R] Territory Managers Marielle Gulfan and Marielle Belen, Senior Fuels Brand Manager Mark Malabanan and Shell Advance Brand Manager Recca Menchavez, together with Shell retailers, opened the second leg of the Shell Bike Fair 2016 in Limketkai Atrium, Cagayan de Oro.
Coming from a successful celebration of all things motorcycle last year, Pilipinas Shell takes things to the next level by hosting a bigger and grander Shell Bike Fair 2016. To show Shell’s appreciation for the motorcycle community, this year’s Shell Bike Fair is a series of three grand events in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Exciting performances by Callalily and Gracenote plus other surprise celebrity appearances brought the house down, with the crowd partying along to their favorite hits. The event ended on a high note as several motorcycle clubs received special prizes and three lucky guests brought home their brand new motorcycles.
